April 14, 2006 Kenichi Asami, CEO ASK Co., Ltd. realizes that protection of the Earth's environment and coexistence with the local community are our responsibility, and has adopted the following slogan: Manufacturing that is kind to people, the community and the Earth. All of our employees shall promote and maintain environmental protection activities based on the specific environmental policy below. (1) With the understanding that our company's activities, products and services all have an affect on the environment, we shall prevent pollution and try to reduce environmental risks. At the same time, we shall construct an environmental management system that complies with ISO14001, document it and continue to improve it. (2) We shall follow all laws, ordinances and items that we have accepted that are related to the environment. (3) We shall attempt the following with regard to the environmental aspects of our corporate activities, products and services: 1) We shall reduce hazardous matter that is used in our products; 2) We shall make efforts to reduce the amount of industrial wastes that we produce. (4) We shall setup and implement environmental goals and targets in order to promote environmental preservation activities, and at the same time we shall review them periodically. (5) In addition to notifying our employees of this environmental policy, we shall make it public to the general public if there is such a request.
