Iwaki city is like this

Iwaki City, where the ASK Iwaki Factory is located, is located in the southern part of Hamadori, Fukushima Prefecture.
In the Tohoku region, it is the second most populous city after Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, and has the largest population and area in Fukushima Prefecture, and is designated as a core city.
We have a variety of tourism resources such as Aquamarine Fukushima (aquarium), Onahama Port, and Iwaki Yumoto Onsen, including the resort facility "Spa Resort Hawaiians", which is famous for the movie "Hula Girls" and has the most ability to attract customers in the Tohoku region.
Special products such as Mehikari, grilled sea urchin, and Fukuharu incense (strawberry) are especially famous.
The climate has little difference in temperature, and there is almost no snow except in the mountains, and it only accumulates once every few years, which is not much different from Tokyo and Nagoya.
The Ueno Tokyo Line opened in 2015. You can now access Iwaki from Shinagawa Station or Tokyo Station without having to change trains, making it very convenient to transfer from the Tokaido Shinkansen to the Iwaki area (Joban Line).

What is Mehikari?

A deep-sea fish with a body length of about 15 cm that lives deep sea about150 m.
It is named after Mehikari (Eyes shine) because its eyes glow in emerald green.
Off Iwaki is one of the leading fishing grounds in Japan and is designated as a "Iwakicity fish" .
The skin is soft and it is eaten fried, tempura, dried fish, sashimi, etc. The season is from January to February.

In recent years, spiny lobsters have moved north due to the influence of the Kuroshio Current, and the catch in Iwaki has increased rapidly.
